House rules
Naturalis welcomes 40,000 school children a year. To ensure all our visitors enjoy a pleasant and informative museum visit, we have a few house rules.
Naturalis house rules
- Accompanying adults are responsible for maintaining order and for their pupils’ behaviour
- 1 accompanying adult for every 5 children of kindergarten age (school years 1 and 2)
- 1 accompanying adult for every 10 primary school pupils (school years 3 - 8) and pupils in the first three years of secondary school
- 1 accompanying adult for every class (up to 30 students) in upper secondary school
- Do not touch objects and showcases
- The elevator is intended only for visitors who really need it
- Eating, snacking and drinking are only permitted in the museum café [Rustpunt] on the first floor of the museum. Chewing gum is not allowed
- Make sure you arrive in time
- In view of educational staff members’ planning we have to adhere strictly to the agreed finishing time
- If you experience any delays on your way here, please call the Events Office on 071-568 7626 to arrange any changes that may be needed to your visit
- Coats and bags may be left in the bus or on the coat hooks in the Pesthuis entrance area
- Lockers are available for a returnable deposit of €1.00
- You can use your mobile phone to take photographs, but not to make calls
- If you want to have lunch with a large group, please book a location such as the museum café [Rustpunt] or the Pesthuis courtyard
