Remembered on his wife's parent's headstone in Nottingham Road Cemetery, Mansfield along with his brother-in-law, William Walters. Born in Southwell. Buried Jerusalem Cemetery, Israel.
Obituary published 26th July 1917 in the Mansfield Reporter and Sutton Times :-
“THOMPSON. – On July 14th, in Egypt, from injuries received in Palestine, Private Frank Thompson, of the A.S.C.M.T., dearly loved husband of Ada Thompson, of Sherwin-street, Nottingham, aged 39 years, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. S. Walters, of Westhill Drive, Mansfield.”
In memoriam published 14th July 1919 in the Nottingham Evening Post :-
“THOMPSON. – In loving memory of Pte. Frank Thompson, R.A.S.C., M.T., of 38 Sherwin-street, who died of injuries, Egypt, July 14th, 1918. – Wife and children and [illegible] Leonard.
“THOMPSON. – To the memory of our dear son-in-law, Pte. F. Thompson, of 38 Sherwin-street, who died of injuries Egypt July 14th, 1918. – From Mr. Walters, J.P., and Mrs. Walters, West Hill Drive, Mansfield.”
