Once upon a time, there lived a girl whose name is Amake, she was the only child of her parent. Her father name was Umadinwhile her mother name is chioma. She was bethrothed to her husband, when she was small. She had to live with her parent , until she is old enough to live with her husband, as an independent girls. There in their house , Ngona her mother in law, thought her many things that are practiced in the family. chioma was taught how to cook the type of food that they eat in that family.
That is not to say that chioma was not well brought up by her own parent. That is the way to integrate her into her new family, and those that she is going to live with , for the rest of her life.

Chioma was loved by her parent in law. She would fetch water for her mother in law, fetch firewood, and help her father in law to sweep his room and also wash his clothe whenever his dirty, she serve him food after the meal. Sometimes, she would send the food to him in the farm. She does that when her father in law leaves the home very early in the morning, before the first cook crow. If it is the period of preparing the new farm for them to do, they have to go early enough , to cover enough ground, before the sun will become too hot for anyone to work under it.
