I had a severe Nervous Breakdown 4 years ago that lasted 7 weeks, I didn't see doctor during or after it, and I haven't been the same since. People can actually tell I have severe psychological damage, just by looking at me. Now I have to live with scars for the rest of my life, like being unable to enjoy working out, and staying motivated.
Before the Nervous Breakdown, my motivation was a 10, and I loved and enjoyed working out. I use to workout 4-8 times a week. Now I don't even enjoy it, because of that I only go maybe 2 times a week. A couple of weeks a go, I forced myself to go 5 times a week, and every time I went, it just made me feel horrible emotionally and mentally. For some reason I felt extremely lonely as well. I don't even feel happy about going to the gym, it feels like a chore these days. I can't stay very consistent.
All this year I've been very sporadic, like I took a month off, and sometimes I can only force myself to go one time during the week. Since that 5-day stint, I haven't been to the gym since.
Actually the only people who know about the Nervous Breakdown are people over the internet, no one in real life knows about it.

you really need to see a specialist man. This is no doubt a hormonal unbalance and i am sure you will be pointed in the right direction.

I think you need to change your thought process. Accept reality, than get back on track. When you started the first time the results didn't come automatically and you loved lifting than because it was something you could improve by yourself. Well hey now you know what you can be and what worked before. Don't make yourself do anything, do it because you want it.

I feel for you... Three months ago I had a psychotic break and was committed to a local mental hospital for almost 4 weeks where I was able to recover. I never really gave this much thought until recently but we're all here to improve our physical bodies and yet we don't do anything for our mental health. Take care of yourself mentally, go see your doctor, get a referral to a shrink, somebody who can help you. It's the best thing you can do for yourself. It's more than likely you have a brain chemistry problem that can be fixed so why not do it? Do it, you're worth it.

Falling down is a part of life. It is supposed to happen. It is where you truly learn what you are made of. When are you down, what will you do? Stay down? For how long? How quickly will you get up? When you fall down AGAIN will you let your past experience hurt, or help you get up quicker?
We will all go through hardships in our lives. How we respond to them makes us who we are.
Possibly speak to your family, about treatment. There can be serious chemical issues that need to be looked at. I've been there too, we all have, but it's not the end. You can get back up.MAGA --- ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ
Tamorlane: No one really cares except for people like you. Wow he wore a blackface, guess what back in the day many people did that. It was a different time period. Not full of PC little betas like you that cry foul over every little thing.
SillieBazzillie: Under Obama we always strove to be the best at everything. Trump really has ruined everything.

Seek help dude
You talk about lasting scars pertaining to your breakdown....Dude ....it doesnt have to be this way....seek therapy.....I personally reached a point in my life where past abuses were affecting me at work, home, etc.....Meeting with a professional that can help you work through your problems will ease your personal suffering....you may feel that your better....but reading your post tells me you still have issues.... A good therapist will help you deal and let go of the past....dont let your harmful past...affect your promising future....In my thoughts seriously......Self
